What happened

During the night and morning of 10 September, explosions were again heard in Kyiv as Russia resumed continuous drone attacks on the capital and the surrounding region after a several-day pause. Debris from a downed Russian drone fell in the Holosiivskyi district in the morning, and a later Russian drone strike hit the territory of a Ukrnafta gas station located near the Respublika shopping center by the Teremky metro station. Naftogaz head Serhiy Fedorenko said that at the time of the air raid the station was not operating under safety rules and that staff and customers had left its territory. At the gas-station site, a passenger car caught fire, a public transport stop was damaged and diesel generators caught fire after a repeat hit; a fire also broke out in an adjacent eight-story non-residential building. Firefighters extinguished all the fires. Four people were injured in the gas-station strike, three of them hospitalized, while no casualties were reported from the earlier Holosiivskyi debris fall. Overall, Russia launched 149 strike drones at Ukraine overnight, with 128 reportedly neutralized, hits at 13 locations and downed-drone debris falling at 9. Ukraine's Air Force also reported a ballistic-weapon threat from Bryansk that was stood down at 11:52. Head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration Timur Tkachenko reported the regional consequences via Telegram; rescuers and police were working at the strike sites.
