About h.ua

One edition a day: the stories that mattered, each written from the reporting of several outlets, in 34 languages.

What we publish

Every day we select and rank up to five stories about Ukraine and the world around it. Each story is a synthesized summary: what happened, why it matters, how Ukrainian and international outlets see it, and where their accounts differ. Every source is listed and linked.

When nothing meets the bar, the edition is not published. We would rather leave a day empty than fill it.

How it is made

Stories are signed by the organisation, not by individuals. We publish no original reporting; we read, compare and attribute. Corrections are made in place and carry the update date on the story.

What we leave out

No advertising, no comments, no photographs. The site loads one stylesheet and one small script, and every page is complete and readable with JavaScript switched off.

A.I.Trump

Under each top story we add an A.I.Trump block — an invented comment Donald Trump might have made. A language model writes it. It is a joke and a parody: Trump never said these words, and no sentence in that block is a quotation, a testimony or a fact. If you would rather not see it, press the × on the block — or use the switch below.

Analytics

To see how the site is read we use Microsoft Clarity: it collects anonymous statistics about page views, clicks and scrolling. Separately, your browser remembers which articles you have opened and dims them in the lists — that list never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere. The switch below turns off both.
