Russia nearly completes large jet-drone launch base near Ukraine in about six weeks
Satellite imagery shows Russia has nearly completed a large new base for launching jet-propelled strike drones in southwestern Rostov Oblast, built in roughly six weeks on what was an empty field on August 31. Western and Ukrainian analysts say the facility, located near the Millerovo airbase, is designed to launch Geran-4 and Geran-5 models and could significantly expand the scale of Russian drone strikes against Ukrainian cities, with Kyiv and its surroundings already the most heavily targeted.
