Andy Burnham
Andy Burnham is a British Labour politician who has served as Mayor of Greater Manchester since 2017. Before that he was the Member of Parliament for Leigh and held several cabinet positions under Gordon Brown, including Secretary of State for Health and Secretary of State for Education. UK allocates £100m air defence package for Ukraine ahead of winter
The United Kingdom is allocating £100 million (€116 million) for a military aid package for Ukraine ahead of winter, including Patriot missiles, air defence interceptors, large-calibre artillery shells and drones. The weapons will be delivered through the PURL mechanism and are to arrive before winter sets in.
