Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine
The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine is a standalone branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, established in 2024 to conduct combat operations using unmanned aerial, naval, and ground systems. It operates under the Ukrainian Ground Forces and is responsible for the development, training, and employment of strike and reconnaissance drones across multiple theatres of war.

Ukraine strikes Russian naval base at Novorossiysk, fire reported at mazut terminal
On the night of September 8–9, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Russian naval base at Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A fire broke out at the Novorossiysk Mazut Terminal, and the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces said military vessels including missile carriers were hit. Russian officials gave conflicting casualty figures, with the city's mayor initially reporting none and the regional governor later saying four people were killed and 29 injured.
