Millerovo airbase
Millerovo is a military airbase in Rostov Oblast, Russia, near the town of the same name and close to the Ukrainian border. It has long served as a base for Russian Air Force units, including Su-25 strike aircraft and helicopters. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the facility has gained additional prominence as a site from which, according to Ukrainian and Western sources, Iranian-designed Shahed-type loitering munitions and other strike drones are launched toward Ukrainian targets. Open-source imagery of the base has been frequently used by analysts tracking the war.

Russia nearly completes large new jet-drone launch base near Ukraine in six weeks
Satellite imagery analyzed by Reuters shows that a site that was an empty field in southwestern Russia's Rostov Oblast on 31 August has, by 14 October, become a roughly 0.9-square-kilometre complex — about 126 football fields — with at least eight launch platforms intended for jet strike drones of the 'Geran-4' and 'Geran-5' types. The facility, located about 3.5 km from the Millerovo airbase, would supplement Russia's existing network of at least 11 fixed drone launch sites used against Ukraine and could, according to analysts, enable more than 100 launches within 24 hours once operational.
