MiG-29
The MiG-29 is a Soviet-designed twin-engine multirole fighter of the fourth generation, developed by the Mikoyan design bureau under the leadership of Mikhail Simonov and entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in 1982. It was conceived as a light frontline air-superiority and ground-attack aircraft intended for operations in simple weather conditions. Production was carried out at aircraft plants in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the type remained in the inventories of many air forces, including those of Ukraine and Poland, and has been used extensively in combat, including during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
