Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC)
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is a Swiss-registered global container shipping company, founded in 1970 in Geneva by Italian seafarer Gianluigi Aponte and headquartered in Geneva. It is the world's largest container line by vessel capacity after completing its takeover of Maersk Line's container business in 2025. MSC operates a fleet of container vessels calling at ports across most continents.

Drones strike Novorossiysk fuel oil terminal in Russia's largest port
Drones attacked the Russian city of Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai overnight on September 9, starting a fire at the Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal. The terminal is part of Russia's largest sea port by cargo turnover. Novorossiysk Mayor Andriy Kravchenko confirmed the attack but did not name the damaged enterprise or report casualties.
