DPR State Security Ministry (MDB DNR)
The MGB DPR (Ministry of State Security of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic") was the security and intelligence agency established in 2014 by Russian-backed separatist authorities in parts of Donetsk Oblast. It functioned as a local intelligence and counter-subversion body, tasked with combating "sabotage" and political dissent on separatist-held territory, and was widely accused of torture, abductions and extrajudicial killings. Its operations were gradually absorbed into unified Russian-controlled security structures after the 2022 invasion.
