The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS / ДПСУ) is the central executive body responsible for guarding Ukraine's state border and controlling its crossing. It operates under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and is led by the Head of the State Border Guard Service.

Ukraine strikes Russian naval base at Novorossiysk, fire reported at mazut terminal
On the night of September 8–9, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Russian naval base at Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A fire broke out at the Novorossiysk Mazut Terminal, and the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces said military vessels including missile carriers were hit. Russian officials gave conflicting casualty figures, with the city's mayor initially reporting none and the regional governor later saying four people were killed and 29 injured.
