Bloomberg is an American financial, software, data, and media company founded by Michael Bloomberg in 1981. It is best known for its Bloomberg Terminal, which provides real-time financial data and analytics to financial professionals, as well as its news services, Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Radio, and Bloomberg.com. The company is headquartered in New York City. Michael Bloomberg, the founder and majority owner, also used the company as a vehicle for his political activities, most notably his 2020 campaign for the Democratic nomination for U.S. President.
