Russia's Shadow Fleet Tankers Add Anti-Drone Protection in Black Sea
Russian oil tankers from the sanctions-evading “shadow fleet” have begun fitting nets, metal structures and rubber tires to protect themselves from Ukrainian drone attacks. Since August, at least 60 protected tankers have passed through the Bosphorus as the fleet adjusts to growing threats to Russian maritime oil exports.
