Polish cities suspend or terminate cooperation with Lviv after regional council designates 2027 as year of the UPA
Polish municipal and regional authorities responded to the Lviv Oblast Council's decision to designate 2027 as the year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Roman Shukhevych and Oleh Olzhych. Peremyshl unanimously suspended its partnership with Lviv, while the Lublin Voivodeship council unanimously terminated a cooperation agreement with Lviv Oblast. Poland also banned the initiative's initiator, Sviatoslav Sheremeta, from entering the Schengen area for five years.
