Volodymyr Viatrovych

Volodymyr Viatrovych is a Ukrainian historian and politician who served as director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory between 2014 and 2019. He is known for his research on the history of the OUN and UPA and has authored several books on twentieth-century Ukrainian liberation movements. He was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 on the party list of European Solidarity. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been involved in volunteer work and initiatives to protect Ukrainian cultural heritage.
