Russian drone strikes on Zhytomyr Oblast overnight from October 11 to 12, 2026, hit railway and energy infrastructure in the Korosten district and damaged residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in the Ovruch community. Fires broke out at the strike sites and were extinguished by State Emergency Service rescuers, who had to withdraw several times due to the risk of repeat strikes. No casualties were reported as of the morning of October 12. The Zhytomyr strikes occurred as part of a larger nationwide overnight barrage of 121 strike drones.
