Democrats won control of both chambers of the US Congress after the November 3 midterm elections, giving them a majority in the Senate and House of Representatives. The result could enable a new aid package for Ukraine even if President Donald Trump vetoes it, while also allowing Congress to challenge his policy of easing sanctions on Russia.
