Russia hits Odesa twice in 24 hours, with strikes also reported in western Ukraine and near Kyiv
Russia carried out a large overnight strike on Ukraine involving 453 Shahed-type drones and 'Banderoh' cruise missiles, according to the Air Force, with 863 aerial weapons recorded in Ukrainian airspace since the morning of 12 September. Odesa was hit overnight by drones and again in the morning by guided bombs; in total across the two strikes, Ukrainian officials reported two deaths and dozens of injuries, with the exact casualty figure disputed across sources.
