Ronald Reagan
Ronald Reagan was an American politician and statesman, the 40th President of the United States, serving from 1981 to 1989. Before his presidency he was Governor of California (1967–1975) and earlier a longtime Hollywood film actor. A Republican, his presidency combined tax and deregulation policies at home with a major military buildup and an assertive foreign policy directed at the Soviet Union during the final phase of the Cold War.
