Річ Найтон
Richard "Rich" Knighton is a British Royal Navy officer who has served as Chief of the Defence Staff since 2024, the professional head of the British Armed Forces and principal military adviser to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Defence. An Admiral, he previously served as Vice Chief of the Defence Staff and as the Royal Navy's Second Sea Lord, and earlier in his career flew aircraft from HMS Ark Royal. He succeeded Admiral Sir Tony Radakin in the role.
