Queen Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II was Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms from 1952 until her death in September 2022. Her reign of seventy years made her the longest-reigning monarch in British history. A member of the House of Windsor, she was succeeded by her eldest son Charles, who became King Charles III following his coronation in 2023.
