Four Russian soldiers escape captivity in Kharkiv region, seize civilian vehicle
Four Russian servicemembers reportedly escaped Ukrainian captivity in the Izyum district in summer 2026. They forced a civilian driver to take them toward the frontline in his own car while threatening to kill his family. Two were reportedly killed during detention, one escaped again, and one remains in pretrial detention.
