Russian strike on Komyshuvahe school kills 43 as rescue operation continues
A Russian airstrike on an underground school and shelter in Komyshuvahe, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, killed 43 people, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. The site was being used to distribute humanitarian aid when the attack occurred on 2 November 2026. Rescue and DNA-identification efforts continued into the fourth day, with 33 people reportedly still potentially beneath the rubble.
