NABU says senior SBU official threatened detectives and blocked court-authorized search
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau said a senior Security Service of Ukraine official threatened detectives with a firearm and prevented them from entering a premises during a court-authorized search on November 4. The incident occurred during Operation “Carthage,” in which NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office exposed an alleged network paying law-enforcement officials to protect fraudulent call centers and other illegal businesses.
