Russian strikes on Sumy kill one, wound dozens in double KAB attack on 4 October
On 4 October, Russian forces struck the city of Sumy and surrounding areas with multiple guided aerial bombs and drones in two waves — a morning attack using five KABs and a separate afternoon attack using six more. One person, a 52-year-old employee of a local enterprise, was killed in a drone strike on the Kovpakivskyi district, while dozens were injured, including a one-year-old boy. Residential buildings, an enterprise, gas networks and a water intake were damaged, and President Zelensky said drones hit a warehouse of medical supplies in the city.
