Pentagon inspector general rejects Senate request to probe Starlink disruptions in Ukraine
The Pentagon’s independent inspector general declined a bipartisan request from nine US senators to investigate disruptions to Starlink and Starshield services in Ukraine, referring the matter to the US Air Force. The senators wanted to determine who ordered or approved the restrictions and whether they affected intelligence sharing and threat warnings. Ukrainian officials said the restrictions disrupted military missions and hindered the interception of Russian strike drones.
