Mathias Cormann
Mathias Cormann is a Belgian-born Australian politician who has served as Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since 2021. Before that he represented Western Australia in the Australian Senate as a member of the Liberal Party, and served as Minister for Finance in the governments of Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull. He migrated to Australia from Belgium in the 1990s.

Ukraine applies for membership in OECD Nuclear Energy Agency
Ukraine is applying for membership in the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced at the "Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026" ministerial conference in Paris. The bid comes alongside announcements on domestic nuclear fuel production, Western supply partnerships, and plans to expand electricity export capacity to the EU.
