Mark Rutte is a Dutch politician and leader of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). He served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 2010 to 2024, heading several coalition governments. In 2024 he became Secretary General of NATO.

Germany to send Patriot interceptors from its own stocks before winter, calls on allies to follow
At the 36th Ramstein-format Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, held virtually on 8 September, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany will urgently deliver PAC-2 Patriot interceptors from Bundeswehr stocks to Ukraine before the winter season. He also announced increased AIM-9 air-to-air missile deliveries and continued IRIS-T system shipments, and urged other Contact Group members to review and share their own stockpiles.
