Philippe of Belgium
King Philippe has been King of the Belgians since 2013, when he ascended the throne following the abdication of his father, King Albert II. He is head of state of Belgium's constitutional monarchy, in which executive power rests with the federal government. Before his accession he held the title Duke of Brabant. He is married to Queen Mathilde and has four children, including the heir apparent, Princess Elisabeth.
