Philippe of Belgium
King Philippe is King of the Belgians, a position he has held since 2013 when he ascended the throne following the death of his father, King Albert II. A member of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, he serves as head of state of Belgium's constitutional monarchy. Educated at the Royal Military Academy and at Oxford, he represented Belgium in trade and cultural missions before his accession. He is married to Queen Mathilde, and his heir is his eldest son, Prince Gabriel.
