Ukrainian prosecutors and the Security Service have notified former presidential spokesperson Yulia Mendel in absentia of suspected state treason and justifying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. The case is based on her statements in foreign media and social-media posts, including interviews with Tucker Carlson and Le Journal du Dimanche. Mendel, who is abroad, denies cooperating with Russia and says the case amounts to suppression of free expression.
