NATO chief Rutte warns of most dangerous security situation in a generation, urges UK and Europe to boost defense spending
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during a visit to the United Kingdom, said the Alliance faces the most dangerous and complex security situation in a generation. Speaking at Ditchley Park in Oxfordshire, he called on Britain and other European countries to build up their defense capabilities toward a NATO-wide target of 3.5% of GDP on defense by 2035, a level the UK is currently not budgeted to reach.
