Russian drone strike on Nova Vodolaha park kills five, including two children
A Russian drone struck a central park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv Oblast, on 19 October around 16:30, killing five people — three women aged 28, 34, and 36, and two girls aged 1 and 11 — and injuring 15, among them seven children. Among the dead were one-year-old Anhielina and her mother Inna Mariukhna, a primary school teacher who died in hospital. President Zelenskyy called the strike 'absolute savagery' and urged stronger air defence, continued sanctions on Russia, and application of the Lindsey Graham Act.
