Germany pushes US to allow European production of Patriot interceptors
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has called on the United States to allow production of PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems in Europe, offering to set up production lines in Germany. The call comes after Pistorius and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a statement of intent on joint production of American weapons in Europe. At the same time, the US State Department says Washington has not made a final decision on granting Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, despite President Trump's reportedly positive stance.
