Frank-Walter Steinmeier
Frank-Walter Steinmeier is a German politician, a member of the Bundestag and the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany. He served as Germany’s foreign minister from 2005 to 2009 and was Germany’s candidate for UN secretary-general in 2016. Internationally, he is known chiefly for work on foreign affairs, European security and the protection of fundamental freedoms.
