Ukrainian parliament summons Kyiv mayor Klitschko over heating-season preparations
The Verkhovna Rada voted on 13 October to summon Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko to report on the capital's preparations for the heating season amid Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. The initiative came from Mariana Bezuhla of the Servant of the People faction. Klitschko appeared in parliament on 14 October and rejected accusations that the city was unprepared, blaming Russian attacks and calling the allegations politically motivated.
