Ukraine and Russia agree to local ceasefire for Oleksky humanitarian mission
Ukraine and Russia have agreed to a local ceasefire in Oleksky, a Russian-occupied city in Ukraine’s Kherson region, to allow humanitarian aid deliveries and prepare civilian evacuations. The ceasefire is due to begin at 03:00 Kyiv time on October 27, while the broader humanitarian operation and evacuation are scheduled for October 29. Both sides also expressed willingness to resume US-mediated peace talks.
