Ukraine's defense budget has $27 billion shortfall, part of $155 billion war-funding need, PM says
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky said Ukraine faces a $27 billion defense budget deficit that is part of the previously declared $155 billion total war-funding need. About $7 billion is to be covered through domestic austerity, with the remaining roughly $20 billion being sought from international partners. He pledged that by October 15 the government will complete 42 internal decisions required to unlock promised partner assistance.
