Alexei Miller
Alexei Miller is a Russian state official who has headed Gazprom, Russia's biggest gas producer and historically its principal supplier to Europe, since 2001. Before Gazprom he worked in St Petersburg's energy and foreign economic relations administration, where he was a long-time colleague of Vladimir Putin. Under his leadership Gazprom signed long-term supply contracts with a number of European countries and built large pipeline projects such as Nord Stream. He is part of Putin's inner circle and personally leads negotiations on Russian gas deliveries.

AfD confirms talks with Gazprom on resuming Russian gas supplies to Germany
The far-right German party Alternative for Germany (AfD) confirmed it is negotiating with Gazprom about the possible resumption of Russian natural gas deliveries to Germany. AfD's foreign policy spokesperson Markus Frohnmaier met with Gazprom chairman Alexei Miller in Russia, and deputy faction chair Beatrix von Storch told DW the party wants to resume trade with Moscow to secure affordable energy.
