Giuseppe Cavo Dragone
Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone is an Italian naval officer who has served as Chairman of the NATO Military Committee since 2022. The Military Committee is the Alliance's highest military authority, bringing together the chiefs of defence of NATO member states. Before taking up the NATO post, he was Chief of the Italian Defence Staff and previously headed the Italian Navy as its Chief of Naval Staff. He has also commanded joint operational commands within the Italian armed forces.

NATO Military Committee visits Kyiv for first time in eight years
A NATO Military Committee delegation of military representatives from all 32 member states, led by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, visited Kyiv on 6 October — the first such visit in eight years — and met with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi. Discussions covered Ukraine's military priorities and lessons learned for Allied preparedness, and the delegation paid tribute at the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine.
