Cargo vessel carrying Ukrainian grain struck in Black Sea near Romania; two crew killed
The cargo ship Royad Mammadov, carrying grain from the Ukrainian port of Izmail to Italy, caught fire in the Black Sea near the Romanian coast on 5 October after what President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said was a strike by two Russian drones. Eleven of the 13 crew members were rescued by Romanian vessels; two people were killed, according to Romania's Interior Ministry.
