Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration
The Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration is a Ukrainian state authority that performs executive functions in Zhytomyr Oblast during martial law. Oblast military administrations were established across Ukraine after Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 to coordinate defence, civil protection and regional governance. It is headed by a head appointed by the President of Ukraine and is based in the city of Zhytomyr.

Russian drone strikes German-owned Kromberg & Schubert plant in Zhytomyr for second time
On 22 September, Russian forces struck the German-owned Kromberg & Schubert automotive cable plant in the Zhytomyr community with a Shahed-type kamikaze drone, causing a large-scale fire but no casualties. It was the second Russian strike on the same enterprise, which had already been significantly damaged on 9 August.
