Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the largest nuclear power station in Europe, located near the city of Enerhodar in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Commissioned in the 1980s, it has six VVER-1000 reactors that supplied a substantial share of Ukraine's electricity before the war. Since Russian forces seized the site in 2022, it has continued to operate under the supervision of Rosatom personnel, and its status has been a focal point of IAEA inspections and international concern.
