Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council
The Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council is the regional representative body of Zaporizhzhia Oblast in Ukraine. Its deputies are elected by the region's residents and, together with the head of the oblast state administration appointed by the President of Ukraine, they govern the region. The council adopts the local budget and regional development programs and oversees the work of oblast executive bodies. It has continued to function amid Russia's full-scale invasion, although parts of the oblast are under temporary occupation.

Russian guided bombs strike residential building in Zaporizhzhia, killing at least seven including three children
On the morning of 10 October, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, hitting a five-storey residential building. One entrance partially collapsed at the second-floor level, and a woman was pulled alive from the rubble. Casualty figures rose over the course of the morning: initial reports said four killed, later updates from regional officials put the toll at seven dead including three children, with around ten wounded.
