European Public Prosecutor's Office
The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) is an independent body of the European Union, established in 2017 to investigate and prosecute crimes against the EU's financial interests, including fraud involving EU funds, corruption and money laundering. It is headquartered in Luxembourg and is led by European Chief Prosecutor Laura Codruța Kövesi. EPPO operates on the basis of enhanced cooperation among participating member states; Hungary, Poland and Sweden, among others, have chosen not to take part.
