Russian jet drones reach Lviv and Lutsk; fire damages record-setting art installation in Lutsk museum
Russia launched several dozen Geran-4 (jet-powered Shahed) drones from occupied Crimea toward western Ukraine over recent days, with four reaching Lviv — roughly 820 km from the launch area — and several reaching Lutsk, about 880 km away. On 13 October, falling debris from one drone ignited the roof of the Adrenalin City entertainment center in Lutsk, which houses the Korsaks Museum of Modern Ukrainian Art, and partially destroyed the sixth part of the Kosmogoniia art project, titled 'The Future.' Air defense shot down two drones over Lviv Oblast earlier the same day, with debris destroying or damaging homes in Murovane and Malekhiv and injuring three people. Presidential adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov (Flash) said the drones' maximum range turned out to be somewhat greater than expected.
