Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations
The Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (URPI) is a state-run electronic database maintained in Ukraine. It records information about criminal proceedings registered by pre-trial investigation bodies, including the police, prosecutor's office, NABU, and SBU. Entering a case in the register is a mandatory requirement for the lawful opening of an investigation. Access to its data is restricted, and the rules governing it are set out in Ukrainian procedural law.
