WTA
The WTA (Women's Tennis Association) is the principal organising body of women's professional tennis, founded in 1973 by Billie Jean King. It operates the WTA Tour, which encompasses the women's Grand Slams, WTA 1000, 500 and 250 events and the WTA Finals. The organisation is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida.
