World Athletics
World Athletics is the international governing body for the sport of athletics, overseeing track and field events including running, jumping, throwing, and combined events. Its headquarters are in Monaco. The organisation organises the World Athletics Championships and other major competitions, including the World Athletics Ultimate Championship. It was previously known as the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) before being renamed in 2019. World Athletics is led by a president and sets the global rules of the sport.
