High Qualification Commission of Judges

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine (HQCJ) is a permanent body within the national judiciary responsible for selecting and recommending candidates for judicial appointment and for conducting the qualification assessment of sitting judges. It organises competitions to fill judicial vacancies, evaluates judges' professional fitness, and decides on whether they remain suitable for their posts. The Commission also participates in disciplinary procedures against judges and works with the High Council of Justice on appointments and dismissals.
