WHO in Ukraine
WHO (World Health Organization) is the United Nations specialized agency for international public health. Its country office in Ukraine, established in 1994 and headquartered in Kyiv, coordinates the organization's work in the country, including humanitarian health response, health system support and immunization programmes. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, the WHO has supplied medicines and equipment, helped restore damaged medical facilities and worked with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.

Russian drone strikes hit warehouses in Odesa Oblast, damaging WHO medical storage
Russian drone strikes on warehouse facilities in Odesa Oblast on 22 September caused large-scale fires, killing one person, injuring two, and damaging a World Health Organization warehouse in Chornomorsk that stored temperature-controlled medical supplies. WHO said it was the fourth time in three months that this particular warehouse was hit and the 21st strike on medical storage facilities in 2026.
